i told my mum a night before the schedule i have for Tuesday 27th and after which she soon replied me that she will be going with me.

i am done with the Bachelor of Economics interview in SMU. there were 9 of us in a room sitting around a big table with 2 professors. I arrived at 4.10pm and there i was thinking about the possible questions and the ideal answers to each. Only till 4.50pm, then i found the answer and next thing was to look calm.
when entered into the room, i was given my name and it was placed in front of me. then the interview started with all in a go.

first question: define mathematical function.
my answer: I have never heard of it but i think it is a mathematical formula in which able to derive.
2nd question: what you will do with an umbrella?
my answer: i will design the umbrella and sell it for a value so that i can use that amount to invest in other finance sector, to increase revenue.
3rd question: what you expect in SMU?
my answer: i expect to do well in bachelor of economics and get into actuarial science, of my interest.
4th question: Why do you think Tiger woods would want to go gym even when he is a golfer?
answer by the other 8: discipline because gym require time, to look good.
my answer: he might be wanting to invest in the gym or promote the gym. (like guess cause the ideal answer was like said in the very beginning).
5th question: Why Tiger woods can earn so much money?
other 8: it is because he is a public figure, branding and image.
my answer: it is because of skills, if he does not have the skills, branding and image would not earn him money.
6th question: why can't professor income incomparable to Tiger woods?
other 8: he is a public figure, analogies given by many (suddenly teacher, dentists all out).
my answer: it is because he got many inputs (income) then professors. He can have sponsor from many companies but professors are limited.

there was one guy, i don't know if he use the approach of "being honest" but he surely did not do him good. He somehow busted himself by saying the word "holistic" and he can't explain it. He often side-track off the questions that was asked.

the interview took 1 hours. long oh long but i am glad that i did went for it. my answer are short and sweet but let it be straight to the point and score some points to my name. Ho Tianhui.
